Report: Allen Iverson Loses Home In Foreclosure
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It hasn't been a good couple of weeks for Allen Iverson.
First, the only professional basketball team to offer the former MVP a contract was in the NBA D-League. He declined. Then a judge criticized his skills as a parent, and ordered him to attend Alcoholics Anonymous in order to see his children. Now, it appears he's lost his home.
TMZ is reporting that he's lost his $4.5 million Atlanta home, after it was sent into foreclosure. The report says Iverson defaulted on his $1.2 million mortgage. The report also states that the bank bought the home back for $2.5 million.
In some more pleasant Allen Iverson news, local tattoo artist (and best in the city, in my opinion), Tim Pangburn of Art Machine Productions in Fishtown, tattooed Iverson's face on local Sixers fan Eric Negron, earlier this week. Negron is in the beginning stages of a full Sixers leg tattoo, which will eventually included the team's logo, Wilt Chamberlain, and the Sixers' retired jersey numbers.
