Rendell's Get-Out-The-Vote Bus Tour Zooms Into Philly
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Governor Rendell is crisscrossing the state to remind people that Tuesday is Election Day, making several stops to urge people to vote.
He made one stop on Friday at the Fels Community Center in South Philadelphia (above and right).
"We'll be in the Delaware Valley, in the Lehigh Valley, probably make about fifty stops."
He says turnout during non-presidential election years is typically low, but Tuesday is very important:
"We should treat this as a presidential election year -- it is that important. There's a lot of work that has to be done by the next Congress."
And he also says that Pennsylvania in particular is an important state:
"We have 19 congressmen, and ten of those 19 seats are up for grabs. Eight have incumbent Democrats, two have incumbent Republicans -- and then of course the Senate seat is very close, it could go either way."
