Reid, Eagles Searching for Answers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - With his team mired in a four-game losing streak and sitting in last place in the NFC East with a 1-4 record, Eagles head coach Andy Reid held his day-after news conference the day after a 31-24 loss in Buffalo.

Despite the woeful record and all the mistakes, Reid says there are positives they can take away from the loss to the Bills.

"I thought the effort was good. I thought as the game went on we continued to get better in most phases of the game," Reid told reporters today.

But he admits their issues are obvious.

"You eliminate the turnovers -- you have better results and you put yourself in a better position to win football games," he said.

The Eagles have committed an astonishing 16 turnovers through five weeks, and they are tied for last in the NFL in turnover differential, sitting at minus ten.

On the injury front, Reid says safety Jarrad Page is dealing with a stinger. Defensive end Trent Cole (calf) and tackle Jason Peters (hamstring), who both did not play against Buffalo, are "making progress," and Reid says they will just see how they do as the team moves forward.
