Rehoboth Beach Strikes Down Plan To Keep Renters From Using Pools And Hot Tubs
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del., (CBS) -- The Rehoboth Beach Board of Commissioners has unanimously rejected a controversial plan that would keep shore renters from using pools or hot tubs.
The proposal would have required homeowners to cover and lock their pools and hot tubs when the property is rented out.
The city's mayor proposed the measure as a way to get a handle on noise complaints.
While voting down that measure Friday night, the board did vote to require homeowners to register their pools with the city.
