PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Basketball junkies should have a lot of fun the next three days if they head to Philadelphia University's Gallagher Center.
For the sixth year, the school is hosting the "Reebok Classic Breakout" on campus. It starts Wednesday night and runs through Friday night.
"We're glad to be back at Philadelphia University," Global Director of Reebok Basketball Brian Lee tells KYW Newsradio. "Especially with all the heritage, the tradition in basketball that Philadelphia brings. So we're absolutely glad to be back."
The camp allows dozens of high school standouts to show off their talents in front of fans and numerous college coaches who frequent this event.
Brian Lee Interview
"We have tryouts across the country, we've held them in about eight different cities this summer," Lee says. "What we do is, out of about 120 kids that will actually show up to the camp on Wednesday, about 50 of those kids have tried out across the country. So kids that may not be so much nationally recognized and typical All-American kids, we give them an opportunity to play and see how they test against the top kids in the country as well as playing in front of a national stage."
Doors to the event on Wednesday open at 5:00 pm. There is a $10.00 admission per day. The camp culminates with a Friday night all-star game. For more information, check out www.reebokbreakout.com.
