Red Hot Drexel Wraps Up Home Schedule Wednesday Vs. JMU

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Teams don't get much hotter than the Drexel Dragons these days.
They won their fifteenth straight game on Saturday, hammering Cleveland State on the road, 69-49, in a "Bracket Busters" game. The win improved the Dragons to 23-5 on the season and head coach Bruiser Flint says they earned it.
"I thought our guys played great, start to finish. I thought everybody that got into the game really helped us, it was as good of a performance as we've had all year from start to finish. I thought the guys were really focused, did a good job of preparing and we were able to go in and beat a pretty good team."

Drexel is making waves on the national scene, as they have received votes in both the AP and Coaches polls this week. Next up for the Dragons, the final home game of the regular season on Wednesday as James Madison comes to the DAC.
The Dragons already took care of the Dukes once this season, winning down in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on February 8th, 63-56.
"They are a team that really scores the ball," Flint says. "They can really score. They shoot a lot of threes. So it's a tough task on the defensive end playing against these guys, because they can put a lot of people on the floor that can spread you out and get to the basket."
Now the final home game, also means "Senior Night," and that means a special night for the lone senior on the Drexel roster, forward Samme Givens. It could also be a history making night for the Philadelphia native. With eight rebounds against the Dukes, Givens will become just the third player in Drexel history to score 1,000 points and pull down 1,000 rebounds in a career.
"The kid has had a phenomenal career," Flint says. "To be honest with you, it's a double bonus, because he's one of the best kids I've ever coached. He's a great kid. Great teammate. He's been a pleasure to coach, and I'm happy for him to be able to get all the things he's gotten."
The other two Drexel players in the 1,000/1,000 club are Malik Rose and Bob Stephens.
Dragons, by the way, are a perfect 12-0 at home heading into the JMU game.
Drexel and James Madison tip-off at 7:00pm on Saturday.
