The Red Hot Chili Peppers For Bernie Sanders
By Michael Cerio
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Anthony Kiedis loves songs about California, and a Senator from Vermont.
Kiedis and sock-sporting Red Hot Chili Peppers bandmate Flea are among the one hundred twenty-eight celebrities that have signed on to pledge their support for Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders according to his website.
Other musicians on the list include Run The Jewels rapper Killer Mike, Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett, Sonic Youth frontman Thurston Moore, Wilco singer Jeff Tweedy, and Academy Award winning composer Hans Zimmer.
The Hulk likes Bernie too. Mark Ruffalo's name appears in support of Sanders alongside Danny DeVito, Will Ferrell, Justin Long, and several others.
As for Sanders competition, Hillary Clinton has grabbed support along the way from rapper 50 Cent, GIRLS star Lena Dunham, the donut-licking Ariana Grande, singer Carole King, Clinton impersonator Amy Poehler, Scandal's Kerry Washington, and the all-important Queen Beyonce. Bey appeared at a fundraiser for Clinton earlier this year.
