Reaction To The Phillies 1-3 Start
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Whether you choose to panic or not (I'm opting for "not"), it's hard to be particularly thrilled with the Phillies 1-3 start, in particular the anemic-as-advertised offense.
Here's some reaction to the first four games:
Brotherly Glove says that moving Rollins back to the lead-off spot has two problems.
Crashburn Alley says that Charlie Manuel's in game strategy can be a head-scratcher, and that Freddy Galvis' glove is every bit as good as advertised.
The Good Phight says that the Phillies could better utilize platoon splits, and that it's justifiable to be concerned.
Beerleaguer says that the highlight of the home opener came from the Phanatic.
Phillies Nation says the bullpen, not the offense, will make or break the Phillies season.
The Fightins aren't saying anything, because sadly their account is still suspended.
Dayn Perry says that Jonathan Papelbon is not being used optimally.
Todd Zolecki explains why they've used Papelbon as they have.
Forbes says the Phillies are set for a big fall.
And in lighter news, Bleeding Green Nation has a picture of Michael Vick at the home opener, wearing a Phillies hat.
