Radnor Store Finds Repulsive Waste In Its Parking Lot -- Twice
RADNOR, Pa. (CBS) - Employees at a Bed, Bath & Beyond store in Delaware County, Pa. have made a disturbing -- and potentially dangerous -- find in the store's parking lot. And it's happened more than once.
Workers at the store on Lancaster Avenue in Radnor Township thought the huge trash bag in the lot might have held a purchase someone accidentally left behind.
"It was heavy, so they opened it up, thinking maybe someone left a package there. They realized there was some weight to it," says Radnor police sergeant Andy Block. "That's when they opened the bag and lifted the lid and they saw ..."
Vomit. About 30 pounds' worth, inside a generically marked white medical waste container.
Sgt. Block says Bed, Bath & Beyond had a biohazard waste collection firm remove it.
But it happened again, a week to the day later, on June 5th. That's when the store called the cops, fearing a serial sicko.
"It could be considered harassing because it occurred more than once, and also recklessly endangering another person may fit," notes Block.
He says it may be that someone was paid to get rid of the waste properly, but instead pocketed the cash and chucked the upchuck haphazardly.
