Radnor Police Reopen 1993 Probe Into Murder of Marple Twp. Woman

VILLANOVA, Pa. (CBS) -- A decades-old Main Line murder case is being reopened.
Today, Radnor police superintendent William Colarulo announced that the murder of Jennifer Tong, on June 26, 1993, is being reëxamined.
Tong, a 34-year-old mother of two young children, was found dead in the back seat of her car, shot in the head execution-style.
Tong and her husband lived in Marple Township and owned a restaurant there.
Shortly after the 1993 incident, police announced that Tong had been abducted from her home on Dorset Drive in Marple. Her car, with her body in the back seat, was discovered later that day by passersby along Spring Mill Road in Villanova.
Today, Colarulo noted that investigative technology -- including fingerprinting and DNA -- has come a long way since 1993 and may generate some new leads.
In addition, the Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Tong's killer or killers.
