Questions About Sandusky Probe Linger

HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) – When state lawmakers return for their final week of the current session on Monday, House Democrats are expected to continue their effort to force a vote on a resolution asking for a Justice Department review of how the Jerry Sandusky investigation was handled.
After his client was sentenced this past week, even Sandusky's attorney Joe Amendola got into the act, questioning why Sandusky wasn't arrested sooner.
Amendola: "I would suggest to you there was a bigger motive."
Reporter: "What was it?"
Amendola: "Penn State."
But prosecutor Joseph McGettigan defended the investigation. McGettigan said he joined the Sandusky probe after it had been underway for some time, but had to conduct a thorough review of it to prepare for trial.
His conclusion is that all involved worked with diligence and integrity "and an unswerving dedication to reaching a just outcome without any other agenda."
McGettigan claims statements to the contrary are either uninformed, misinformed or willfully false.
