Protesters From University Of Delaware React To News Of George Zimmerman's Arrest

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) -- Local protestors felt some satisfaction Wednesday night.
They have been wearing hoodies for weeks in a show of support for Trayvon Martin -- believing from the very beginning that charges were warranted in this case.
Eyewitness News was there as protestors at the University of Delaware heard the news they have been waiting for.
"No justice. No peace."
They planned this rally and walk weeks ago.
"We are Trayvon Martin!"
At the time, they had no clue their event would fall on the same day and time of the announcement of George Zimmerman's arrest in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
Talia Sykes, co-organizer said, "We're very excited. We're very happy they're making some movement and some progress with the case."
Alex Fogt, graduate student said, "It's amazing this happened today, the day Zimmerman actually got arrested. I just think that's an amazing coincidence."
Fogt explained he was walking home on campus when he spotted this rally so he joined in.. Lowan Schaffe doesn't even attend University of Delaware but as a community member felt compelled to show her support.
Schaffe of Newark said, "I think it's an accomplishment but I still think we have a lot to do."
Sarah Patterson, graduate student added, "We are looking for swift action in this case. Zimmerman has been free for quite a bit so we're very happy that he's in custody."
The February shooting sparked protests like these all across the country and their effort, Tobe Ofuani says, was well worth it.
Ofuani, a University of Delaware Junior explained, "If protests like these, rallies weren't behind the driving force, the family wasn't actively seeking day in and day out for justice then I think that a case like this would easily have been swept under the rug."
Trayvon's parents told reporters they are marching on "until the right thing is done." The students we talked to agree. They plan to host more walks and talks until they say justice is served and Zimmerman is held accountable.
