Prosecutors: Camden Man Crashes Car After Being Shot
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — Camden County prosecutors say a man who was shot in his car in Camden tried to drive away but instead crashed a short distance away.
Mark Gonzalez of Camden was found around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the driver's seat of his car at 10th and Linden streets. But investigators believe the 22-year-old Gonzalez was shot somewhere in the 400 block of North 9th Street.
Gonzalez was pronounced dead at a hospital around 3 a.m. But it's not yet known if he died from his gunshot wounds, injuries he sustained in the crash or both.
No other injuries were reported in the shooting or the crash. But authorities did not provide further details on the shooting, including a possible motive or what type of weapon was used.
