Pro Soccer: Union Look to Get Back on Track Against Crew
CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) - It's been a rough few weeks for the Philadelphia Union, as they bring an eight-game winless streak into tomorrow's match against the Eastern Conference-leading Columbus Crew at PPL Park in Chester.
"We haven't gotten the wins that we wanted, and at the same time we are getting some results, meaning that we get a point here and there with the draws," says Union coach John Hackworth. "So while we haven't really accomplished what we wanted to, we haven't really hurt ourselves too badly in the whole picture of things."
And the standings bear that out, as the Union are currently tied for third place in the Eastern Conference with Houston -- but only five points behind the frontrunning Crew.

The Union and Crew should be pretty familiar with each other as these two teams matched up in Ohio on August 20th -- Columbus taking a 2-1 decision.
As for this match-up with the Crew, Hackworth says, "It's probably a cliché, but we really need to make sure that we take care of ourselves tomorrow -- particularly that we are a little more effective in the box. We've created a lot of chances in the last couple of games, we haven't done a great job of executing those, and that's really our main focus right now."
First kick is set for Saturday night at 7:30pm in Chester.
