Pro-Life Group Calls For Delaware Abortion Investigations
DOVER, Del. (AP) - An anti-abortion group wants federal prosecutors in Delaware to investigate a women's clinic tied to a Pennsylvania doctor charged with several counts of murder.
The Delaware Family Policy Council on Monday also urged state Attorney General Beau Biden to conduct a thorough and public investigation of Atlantic Women's Medical Services, which has clinics in Wilmington and Dover.
The clinic is linked to Dr. Kermit Gosnell, who is charged with murder in Pennsylvania and whose Delaware license was suspended last year because of allegations against him in Pennsylvania.
In letters to Biden and U.S. Attorney Charles Oberly, the group asked for investigations of clinic director Leroy Brinkley and of Dr. Arturo Apolinario, a doctor whose controlled substance license lapsed in 2009.
