CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) - Cirque du Soleil has returned to the Philadelphia area, inside the big top on Camden's waterfront.
A large, dynamic stage is surrounded by 2,600 seats and there's not a bad seat in the house.
Francis Jalbert, with Cirque du Soleil, says Totem is like nothing you've ever seen before.
"The show features 11 acrobatic acts and disciplines that all portray an aspect or era of evolution," he explains.
All the music is performed live by musicians who play to the artists motions.
Eric and Shandien are Native American hoop dancers. They artfully jump into and out of five small hoops as part of an elaborate routine.
"It tells a story of the different plants and animals that the Native Americans saw," says
"It's really exciting actually, because I get to share my culture with the world and that's something I've always dreamed of doing," explains
Totem opens Thursday, May 30th with six shows per week until the end of June.
