Porcelain Benjamin Franklin Bust Stolen From Montgomery County Home Recovered, Suspect Arrested
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A former housekeeper was arrested for stealing a rare bust of Benjamin Franklin valued at more than $3 million from a Main Line home.
Andrea Lawton was arrested Friday as she got off a Greyhound bus in Maryland.
Police say she was carrying the bust in a sack with the intention of selling it on the black market. The art treasure was stolen last month from a Bryn Mawr home where Lawton worked briefly as a cleaning woman before being fired.
