One example is the Cleveland-area woman who discovered pictures of her husband's pictures with another woman on a profile page and even worse, discovered they were engaged!

KYW's Michelle Durham spoke with a local family law attorney about the issue.

Cozen O'Connor attorney Jennifer Brandt is all too familiar with this:

"Just about every case that comes into the office has some Internet component, whether it be Facebook or e-mails or text messages that people leave around.  This is a constant in divorce cases today."

Brandt says what you put on social media can come back to haunt you:

"It can put somebody in a very uncomfortable position.  People think that cheating or finding out your spouse is cheating will impact the economic aspect of the divorce and it doesn't.  But, where it can impact is a custody matter and who is the better parent to be with the children on a primary basis."
