Philadelphia Papal Fiat On Auction Block
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- You could be the next owner of the Fiat used by Pope Francis during his visit to Philadelphia in September 2015.
Bidding began early Wednesday morning. The 2015 Fiat 500L has only 458 miles and was used only for the Pope's visit to Philadelphia.
"It's a piece of papal history. It's a piece of Philadelphia history," said Ken Gavin, with the Philadelphia Archdiocese.
This Fiat is one of two used by Pope Francis on his Philadelphia trip. The other was auctioned in January 2016 for $82,000. One used by Pope Francis in New York fetched $300,000 at auction.

The money went to charity. All of the proceeds from this current Fiat auction will go to Catholic Charities Appeal. It's expected to fetch at least $75,000.
"It enables us to funnel more funding into programs that help the homeless, folks struggling with addiction and people on the borderline of poverty," Gavin told Eyewitness News.
