Pope Francis Opens Free Laundromat In Rome
ROME (CBS) – The poor in Rome now have a place where they can wash their clothes, free of charge.
Pope Francis has opened a laundromat for homeless people.
The facility, not far from the Vatican, has washers, dryers and irons, all of which have been donated.
The Vatican says the laundromat is intended to restore dignity to people.
In 2013, the pope opened a free barber shop and showers.
