'Pop' Quiz: New Generation Sings About Mick Jagger. Do They Know Who He Is?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A number of today's pop artists, including Ke$ha and Maroon 5, are making reference to Mick Jagger in their songs, which means preteens everywhere are singing about Jagger.

But do they even know who he is?   We headed to the Northeast Philadelphia YMCA to find out.

Twelve-year-old Alyssa Snyder (back row, left, in photo) at least knew who Mick Jagger was.

Story continues below photo...

"Well, I know he is from the Rolling Stones, and I heard he is Ke$ha's dad," Alyssa explained.

(Durham:)  "Really -- is that the rumor?"

(Alyssa:)  "Yep."

Milan, 9 (middle row, right), says, "I heard of him before."

(Durham:)  "So when you sing the Ke$sha song, do you know what he looks like?"

(Milan:)  "Yes, my grandmom has a couple of CDs."

Sean, 9 (middle row, second from right), on the other hand, says, "Well, I asked if Jagger was a person or a thing."

(Durham: )  "What did your dad say?"

(Sean:)  "He said he was a person."
