Pomeranian Dog Stolen During Burglary Of Philadelphia Home
By Steve Beck
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's one thing to steal someone's television; that can be replaced. But it's another thing to swipe someone's dog during a home burglary.
That's exactly what happened inside a Philadelphia home and police are searching for the suspects and the stolen dog.
The crime happened on July 30th, but police just released surveillance video of the suspects.
WATCH: Surveillance Video
Surveillance video captured the suspects wandering outside the victim's home in the 1900 block of West Girard Avenue at about midnight.
The suspects entered the home and once inside, they took the victim's four-year-old Pomeranian dog named Chispa aka Chi-Chi. In addition, the suspects stole a flat-screen television and a Microsoft X-box 360.
The surveillance video then captured one suspect carrying the TV, while the other suspect was walking the dog away from the house.
Suspect #1 is described as a male of an unknown race, wearing a light-colored baseball hat, light-colored t-shirt, dark-colored shorts and light-colored sneakers.
Suspect #2 is described as a male of an unknown race wearing all dark-clothing and a dark-colored backpack.
Anyone with information is urged to call 215.686.TIPS (8477) or 911.
