Polls Show Over 80-Percent Of Fans Don't Care If Eagles Talk

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Just win baby.

The Eagles are one of just three teams that will not speak to the media at the NFL combine. The other two teams---the Patriots and Saints---have won a Super Bowl in this decade.

Eagles fans, however, don't care. According to a poll on CBSPhilly.com and a poll on BleedingGreenNation.com, over 85% of fans are fine with the silence.

The majority of media members in Philadelphia have the opposite view point, prompting these polls.

"I'm sorry, you're wrong," 94WIP Morning Show host Angelo Cataldi told a fan on Thursday, who said he doesn't care if the Eagles speak at the combine. "When you snub people long enough and then you do something wrong, they hate you more for that. Do you understand that phenomenon at all?"

Listen to Andrew Porter and Scott Kret on the Pulse Of Philly Podcast:

"It's called being nice to people," Cataldi continued. "It's called being respectful to people."

Eagles reporter Reuben Frank agrees with Cataldi, writing via CSNPhilly.com on Wednesday:

"The Eagles don't believe it's important to communicate with you and your friends and family, and that's their right, but it's a real slap in the face to fans who spend thousands of dollars a year in tickets, parking, jerseys, food and merchandise a year to support their team."
