Poll: Wolf Leads The Pack In The Dems Race For Pennsylvania Governor

HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) -- A new Franklin and Marshall College Poll shows a York County businessman, who is spending millions of his own money to campaign, has surged to a 25-point lead in the crowded race for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination.
The poll did not ask voters about former Auditor General Jack Wagner, who it was reported last week intends to join the race. But among the rest of the candidates who've been in for a while, former state Revenue Secretary Tom Wolf has jumped out to a lead among Democratic voters with 36-percent. Allyson Schwartz is second with 9-percent.
Wolf has also been advertising heavily, and F&M Poll Director Terry Madonna says the poll is a wake-up call.
"The race is still fluid. You know, this doesn't mean that Tom Wolf will win. But these other candidates need to understand that his introduction to the voters of the state has been very strong, and that they need within a reasonable amount of time to try to change that narrative."
Another important result: almost half of Democratic voters are undecided.
