By Larry Kane
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Iowa caucuses are next Tuesday. It's another day and another big change.
A CNN poll shows Rick Santorum surging in Iowa (see related story). The former Pennsylvania Senator has jumped 11 points to 16% of the vote, now in third place with Newt Gingrich fading to fourth place.
Santorum, who has visited all 99 counties in Iowa, in the last two years has given big help to Mitt Romney. By damaging New Gingrich Santorum has helped Romney move into first place in Iowa with 25%, Ron paul close behind at 23%.
Another development: in New Hampshire, Romney has jumped 9 points to 44%. Ron Paul is at 17%, Gingrich is in third place and Santorum gets just 4% of the vote.
Bottom line: Romney regains the Iowa lead, Ron Paul is still close. Santorum's in third. Five days left.
