PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – According to a new poll, Chris Christie and Hillary Clinton lead the pack for their respective parties in the early look at the run for President in 2016.
A new Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday says Clinton would defeat three potential Republican presidential candidates if the 2016 presidential election were held today. Christie would come in second, behind Clinton. Three Democrats and three Republicans were selected by Quinnipiac University for the national poll.
The Republicans tested include Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida and U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin.
The poll says Clinton would beat Christie 45-37 percent; Rubio 50-34 percent and Ryan 50-38 percent.
Christie would get 43 percent to Vice President Joe Biden's 40 percent and 45-28 percent to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
