Police: Upper Darby Mom Found Dead In Home, Ruled 'Suspicious'

UPEER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) – Police are investigating after a mother of two was found strangled to death Sunday morning inside her Upper Darby, Delaware County home.
The body of 38-year-old Masako Griffin was discovered by police on the 7000 block of Emerson Avenue after a call from a concerned family member, according to police.
What investigators found when they got there confirmed the families' worst fear.
"Located in the second floor bedroom -- the deceased," says Upper Darby Police superintendent Michael Chitwood. "She's laying on her back on the floor. She has a black either cloth or shirt or something covering her face."
Police are ruling this death "suspicious" and investigators are saying they know exactly who they want to talk to for answers.
"She didn't deserve any of this. Nobody deserves this, she definitely didn't deserve this," the victim's cousin, Michelle Diallo says.
Griffin competed in pageants and just graduated from college with a nursing degree. She loved life and her family.
"I could call my mom, everything, that was my everything," the victim's son, Demonte Griffin, says.
Devastated family and friends gathered outside her home Sunday evening desperate for answers.
Police say they've been called to this home before for a number of domestic calls and Masako even obtained a protection from abuse order.
What went wrong Sunday or how she died, police say, they didn't know, but they are trying to track down her ex-boyfriend in hopes of obtaining more answers.
"If anybody knows anything, please, don't be afraid. Come forward. It's okay, come forward, because we have no answers,"Diallo says.
Family members say the victim's car is missing and they believe whoever did this has that car, which is a dark grey 2014 Dodge Avenger.
Authorities confirm her manner of death was strangulation and they are considering this case a homicide.
