Police: Woman Arrested In South Philadelphia Triple Stabbing
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Three people have been hospitalized after and a woman arrested after a stabbing near 10th and Ritner Streets in South Philadelphia.
The suspect, a 31-year-old woman, has been taken into custody after initially barricading herself in a house with two young children.
Philadelphia police say the incident started at about 9 a.m. when the suspect allegedly stabbed her 50-year-old mother inside their home on Ritner Street.
When the mother ran to a neighbor's home for help, but police say her daughter followed her. A 69-year-old neighbor and 32-year-old woman, who came to the victim's aid, were both stabbed.
Domenick DeMuro says his brother, Felix DeMuro, was one of the victims.
"That's his nature, that's how he is," said Domenick. "But it was a bad move. She stabbed him in the chest, then he turned to run away, and she got him in the back."

The woman then ran into her home and barricaded herself in the residence with her two children, ages four and six, and another relative. The S.W.A.T. team responded to the scene and when they entered the home, police say she surrendered without incident. The children were not injured.
Police say Felix Demuro and the woman's mother are listed in stable condition. The 32-year-old Good Samaritan underwent surgery at Jefferson University Hospital and was listed in critical condition.
Police believe the suspect may have a history of mental illness. She is being evaluated at the hospital and faces criminal charges.
