PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A toddler was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition Saturday night after being shot in the stomach in Philadelphia's Logan neighborhood, according to authorities.
It happened a little before 9:30 p.m. on the 4600 block of North 12th Street where a block party with over 200 people was taking place. The 2-year-old girl, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center.
"Her body was totally limp. I knew what it was and they couldn't get the little girl responsive," said Mike Diaz, an eyewitness.
"The grandmother or the mother was laying over her body, trying to get her responsive."
Police say a 22-year-old man was also taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center after he was shot in the left leg. A 30-year-old man was taken to Temple University Hospital after he was shot in the left hand. Both men are in stable condition, according to authorities.
Police believe the shooting may have started over an argument over a parking spot. No arrests have been made at this time. Police are investigating.
