Police: Teenager Found Dead At Wordsworth Academy In Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police tell Eyewitness News that a 15-year-old boy was found dead on Thursday night at the Wordsworth Academy in the city's Wynnefield Heights section.
Authorities tell Eyewitness News that the boy suffered from mental illness and medical issues.
Police say there was a struggle between the boy and a counselor there. Officials believe the struggle may have been in connection to the boy taking an iPod away from another child.
Authorities say the counselor had the boy in a headlock and they went to the ground. They add that the boy bumped his head and died as a result of his injuries.
The incident is under investigation and authorities say they believe that it was an accident.
