Police: Suspect Tries To Rob Cell Phone Store At Finger-Point

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police are still looking for the suspect who they say tried to rob a North Philadelphia cell phone store at gunpoint - which turned out to be just a pointer finger.
It happened on Wednesday morning at Cricket Wireless near N. 22nd Street and W. Indiana Avenue.
Police say the man held a plastic bag with what he said was a gun, and demanded cash. The bag fell from his hand, revealing only an (unloaded) thumb and index finger. Officials say the store worker grabbed the man's arm, but he pulled free and ran - with no money in tow.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early forties, around 5-feet-7 inches tall, with a medium build and a salt-and-pepper beard. At the time, he was wearing a yellow-and-black striped Polo shirt, light pants, and a dark baseball hat.
