Police: Suspect And Officer Exchange Gunfire In Kensington
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Chopper 3 was over the scene after authorities say shots were fired in Kensington Wednesday evening.
Police say an officer was responding to a report of a person with a gun. Upon arrival at A and Somerset Street, the officer observed a male who fit the suspect's description.
Authorities say the male attempted to flee on foot and as the officer pursued him, the suspect began firing shots at him.
Police say the officer returned fire, but did not strike the suspect.
The suspect was apprehended without injury to him or the officer.
