Police: Student Stabbed At Middle School In Berks County
SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – Police are investigating a stabbing at a middle school in Berks County Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at about 8:30 a.m. at the Wilson Southern Middle School in Spring Township.
According to investigators, a student was stabbed and removed from the school by paramedics. The student's condition was not immediately known.
Investigators say a student was taken into custody by police following the stabbing.
The school was immediately placed on lockdown.
School officials said the school building was swept by police and they are confident that this was an isolated incident.
Police remain at the school and the incident remains under investigation.
