By Todd Quinones
MAPLE SHADE, N.J., (CBS) – It is a violent group that so far has gotten away with stealing hundreds of dollars.
Police are concerned the suspects might attack again.
It is a brutal beating captured on surveillance video.
Around 4 a.m., three masked suspects gang up one gas station attendant, kicking and punching him as he tried desperately to defend himself.
The wounds on Nirmal Singh are still fresh.
The 57-year-old says the three men attacked him with little warning while he was working at this CITGO along Route 73 in Maple Shade.
"Three guys too much fight," Singh said.
Maple Shade Police believe the suspects may have committed a similar attack the night before, this time at this Gulf station just up the road on Route 73 Pennsauken, where they stole about $2,300.
Both gas stations are owned by the same man. He says like the attack in Maple Shade, three masked men severely beat up the Gulf station attendant Tuesday night.
Over the phone, he told us the 62-year-old victim had to be treated at Cooper University hHospital.
"His neck is fractured and his head is hurt," Ravinder Singh said.
During the second attack, the suspects fled before they could steal any money. Police believe it was because they saw this SUV approaching.
Now police are hoping the driver of the SUV will come forward to provide whatever information possible.
Both gas stations previously were open 24 hours a day, but in light of the attacks, the owner is now closing them at midnight.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Maple Shade Police Department at 856-234-8300 and reference case 2013-10301.
