Police Searching For Suspect Who Robbed Historic Germantown House
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are looking for a man who robbed the historical Bringhurst House in Germantown.
On Dec. 12 around 1:10 p.m., the male suspect was captured on surveillance video breaking a side window before entering the historic house located at 5448 Germantown Avenue.
Once inside, the suspect stole two large sterling silver trays and a silver tea and coffee pot valued at $300.
After taking the items, the suspect fled on foot and was last seen on Germantown Avenue carrying a large black trash bag.
The suspect is described as a black male between 40-50 years of age and between 5'7" and 5'10" tall. He has a medium complexion, thin gray hair, sunken facial features and was unshaven at the time of the robbery. The man was wearing a dark knit hat and a black jacket with a multi-colored hood and dark pants.
Anyone with information on the crime or suspect is asked to call police.
