Police Searching For Suspect In Multiple Kensington Attacks
by Molly Daly
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the possibility that two recent attacks on women in Kensington were committed by the same man who also attacked three others earlier this year, one of whom died of her injuries.
On October 1st in the 2700 block of Ruth Street, authorities say a man choked a 25-year-old woman into unconsciousness after they had sex.
On September 19th, a 19-year-old who'd been standing on Kensington Avenue says a man stuck a gun in her back, forced her to walk to an alley off Stouton Street, and sexually assaulted her at knife-point.
July 16th, in the 2400 block of Jasper Street, the body of 35-year-old Rickie Morgan was found naked, beaten, and bloody on the sidewalk.
Four days earlier in the 3800 block of Jasper, a 24-year-old woman was beaten and sexually assaulted.
And April 19th, a 45-year-old woman flagged down a car in the 2900 block of Frankford Avenue; she'd been stabbed repeatedly with a box cutter.
In most of the incidents, the suspect rode a bike.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
