Police Search For Suspects That Robbed Wawa, Threatened Customer
NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Police in Delaware are looking for a pair of men accused of stealing cigarettes and threatening a customer at a Newark convenience store.
Police say the men, dressed in different-colored hooded sweatshirts, stole three packages of cigarettes from behind the sales counter of a Wawa store in Newark on Saturday morning.
A man who witnessed the crime got into his truck and tried to follow the suspects, who ran away from foot.
State police say one of the thieves took a baseball bat from the bed of the man's truck and smashed his side-view mirror and threatened him.
