Police Search For Suspect Who Stole Cab From South Philadelphia Gas Station
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An All-City Cab driver who was refueling at a Hess gas station in the 600 block of Broad Street in South Philadelphia was pushed out of the way by a carjacker Wednesday morning and the thief fled with the cab.
Police say the cabbie was not hurt and the stolen taxi cab was recovered a short time later in the 5600 block of Diamond Street near Malvern Street in West Philadelphia.
Police say the thief abandoned the cab and ran off after crashing into several parked cars.
