Police Search For Suspect In Fatal Hit And Run In Port Richmond
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are hoping the public may come forward with added information on a fatal hit run early Sunday in Port Richmond.
Philadelphia police say 28-year-old William McCue of the 3000 block of East Thompson Street, who had just turned 28, was killed around 2:30 Sunday morning as he was attempting to cross the street near Richmond and Sergeant Streets in the city's Port Richmond section.
He was pronounced dead at Hahnemann university hospital.
The driver who struck the victim never bothered to stop. According to Police, upon being struck the victim was thrown onto the hood of the car and stayed there for at least 50 feet before falling off.
Police have little information about the striking vehicle other than it's believed to be a dark colored car.
