Police Search For 3 Suspects In Armed Robbery At Cherry Hill Jewelry Store

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS) - Cherry Hill Police are searching for three suspects involved in an armed robbery that took place at a jewelry store Wednesday night.

The incident happened at about 7:45 p.m. at the Kay Jewelers at Market Place located on Route 70 and Haddonfield Road.

Police say a man and a woman entered the store and began looking at engagement rings. Moments later, a second male entered the store and started looking at jewelry at a nearby counter.

As employees at the store assisted the group, the male half of the couple removed a handgun from his coat pocket and then all three started demanding employees fill a bag with diamond rings, according to authorities.

Police say the employees were then ordered to go into a room in the rear of the building before the suspects left.

Authorities discovered that all three suspects apparently used cell phones throughout the robbery.

The female suspect was wearing a grey and white striped sweater/coat, and was carrying a distinct tote with a picture of a large panda bear on the side.

The male suspect with the gun was wearing a jacket with "Akademiks" and "Black Hornets" written in cursive on the back. The second black male suspect wore one of his pant legs rolled up. He also wore a knit hat.

All of the suspects are described as black and in their late 20s to mid 30s.
