Police Say Two Bucks County Pharmacy Robberies Are Linked
By Brad Segall
LEVITTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- Police in Lower Bucks County believe an armed robbery at a Bristol Township pharmacy this morning is connected to another pharmacy robbery earlier this week.
Police, reviewing surveillance video from both stores, believe the same men are responsible for both holdups.
According to investigators, two men wearing ski masks, one armed with a handgun, demanded prescription painkillers at the Nu-Way Pharmacy, in the 1600 block of Haines Road in Levittown, shortly after 11am Friday morning.
The clerk handed over drugs and cash.
Police had already been investigating a Monday morning robbery at the nearby Windsor Pharmacy, in the 1500 block of Haines Road, in which an armed robber made off with drugs and cash.
Police say the weapons used in the robberies don't match, but they're still pretty confident the crimes are linked.
