Police Recover Deceased Body Inside North Philadelphia Home
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating after a dead body was found in a home on the 1800 block of North 26th Street.
Officials say they received a call, around 1:40 p.m., to check on a man inside the home.
Police say that upon entering the property, a deceased body was found. The man's body was located on the 2nd floor of the home and police say that crews were initially unable to retrieve the body because the house itself was crumbling.
Crews were able to get to the body and the man was pronounced dead at 4:37 p.m. The body was recovered through the second floor window around 6:15 p.m.
At this time, there is no known cause of death.
