PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police recovered two high-end luxury vehicles that were stolen from an East Falls parking lot overnight.
A yellow 2006 Lamborghini was found along the 400 block of Upsal Street in Mount Airy. Police found a black 2006 Bentley a short time later along the 500 block Abbottsford Avenue in East Falls before 10 a.m.
The thefts happened overnight along the 5400 block of Wissahickon Avenue at the Charter Court at East Falls apartment complex.
Police say a resident told them someone broke into a window, stole two flat-screen televisions, a laptop, $1,500 in cash and sets of car keys. The thief or thieves took those keys down to the basement garage of the complex and stole two cars, a yellow 2006 Lamborghini and a black 2006 Bentley. The cars are worth over a combined $200,000.
The 2006 Lamborghini was found around 6:30 this morning, less than two miles from where it was stolen. It was parked in front of Beth Goodell's house on the 400 block of West Upsal Street in Mount Airy.
"Come out front, and there's a gorgeous yellow Lamborghini and three police cars surrounding it right in front of the house. Turns out there's a stolen Lamborghini right in front of our house. I was feeling very lucky they didn't take our minivan."
Police are looking at surveillance video from the garage to help them identify the thieves.
This case has been turned over to the Major Crimes Unit for further investigation.
