PGW Investigates Gas Leak In Mayfair
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to police and PGW, a gas leak has been reported in the city's Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia.
Six to 12 people were evacuated from neighboring business' and the surrounding buildings had their gas shut off as a precaution, according to PGW.
The size of the gas line is unknown and PGW crews are working to locate the source.
The scene of this gas leak, near the intersection of Cottman Avenue and Leon Street, is not far from a major gas explosion in Tacony that left one PGW worker dead and several others seriously injured.
