Police On The Hunt For Tire Slasher In Northeast Philly
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are hoping that surveillance video will lead them to a tire slasher in Northeast Philadelphia.
Tuesday morning, police got multiple complaints from residents of the city's Lawndale section who'd discovered their tires had been punctured sometime overnight. In all, 16 vehicles were vandalized on three streets -- Hellerman, Shelbourne, and Oakley.
Investigators found surveillance video showing a slender guy wearing a hoodie, barely stopping to slash tires as he walked his dog, which appears to be a pit bull, or pit mix. Police have posted the video on their website and YouTube page.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
