Police: Man Shot After Pulling Gun On Officers
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say officers shot and critically injured a man who pulled a gun on them during an early Saturday morning traffic stop in north Philadelphia.
Police say four officers and a sergeant were working undercover when they saw a man heading toward them.
Officers said they approached the vehicle and the man inside pulled a gun on them.
The officers fired, striking the suspect twice. The man, who was not named, was taken to Temple University Hospital and listed in critical condition.
Police said they recovered the man's gun. An officer sustained a minor injury when an air bag in the suspect's car deployed and hit him in the face.
