Police: Man Robs 2 7-Eleven Stores
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — State police believe the same man robbed two 7-Eleven stores within a mile-and-a-half of one another on Kirkwood Highway near Wilmington.
The first robbery occurred around 4:40 Sunday morning, and the second occurred about an hour later.
In the first robbery, police say the clerk was outside the store when the assailant forced him back inside and demanded money from the cash register. The robber fled on foot with some cash.
In the second incident, police say the man walked into the store and vaulted over the sales counter, where he demanded that the clerk give him money. The clerk fled the store, but the robber forced him back inside. He then fled on foot with cash.
Neither of the clerks was injured.
