Teen Charged With Murder In Deadly Northeast Philadelphia Crash
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police identified 15-year-old responsible for a fatal crash in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.
It happened at about 2 a.m. near the intersection of Academy and Willits Roads.
A 22-year-old man, identified by police as Daniel Fouracre of Mallard Drive in Bensalem, was killed and several others were hospitalized.
According to accident investigators, 15-year-old Winston Charleston of the 7100 block of State Road took his mother's Chrysler Sebring without her knowledge. Three other teens were also in the car with him as he allegedly sped off the Academy Road exit from I-95 without his headlights on.
Police say Charleston ran a red light and slammed head-on into a red Volkswagen, killing Fouracre. The driver, Fouracre's 20-year-old girlfriend Jessica Feldman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The Sebring also crashed into another car that had two people inside. They were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The teen passengers, ages 15 and 16, were taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and all are expected to be OK. Charleston was taken to Aria-Torresdale Hospital.
Police are testing the 14-year-old driver to determine if alcohol or drugs may have been a factor.
Charleston has been charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, Involuntary Manslaughter, Homicide By Vehicle, Accident Involving Death-No License, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Unauthorized Use of An Auto.
