WOODBURY, N.J. (CBS) — An investigation is underway into a shooting in Gloucester County late Saturday night.

Police: 43-Year-Old Woman Abducted, Released By 2 Armed Men In Northeast Philadelphia

Officials found a man shot on the front lawn of a house on East Centre Street in Woodbury at approximately 11:33 p.m.

Police say the unidentified, 27-year-old man suffered a gunshot to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

One neighbor, Anthony Darley, said he heard a single gunshot.

"We heard a 'pow!'" Darley said.  "It could have went through a window, so it was lucky everybody was safe inside the house."

He told his family, who was inside at the time, to remain in the home and find cover.

The next thing he knew was that Woodbury Police was rushing to the neighborhood, he told Eyewitness News.

Darley says he doesn't know who the shooter or the victim is, but explained that he thinks the man may have lived somewhere on the block.

Detectives returned to East Centre St. Sunday, looking for surveillance video.
