Police: Man Found Dead, Woman Injured In Kensington
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police are investigating after a man was found dead and a woman was injured in Kensington Wednesday.
Police say they received a call shortly before 4 p.m. for a report of male assaulting a female with a hammer at the 2000 block of E. Cambria Street.
When officers arrived on scene, police say they found a 60-year-old man lying on the ground unresponsive and a 26-year-old woman with a fractured skull.
The man was taken to Episcopal Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police say the cause of death is unknown at this time.
The woman was taken to Temple University Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
An investigation is underway.
